Martin de Candre’s Original Shaving Soap has stood for the signature of the French manufactory since 1989: a refined, high-quality formula, traditional production, and a fragrance that perfectly captures the essence of a classic wet shave.

Lavender, mint, and rosemary form a fresh, aromatic composition. The fragrance is clear and traditional, yet the herbs ensure it never feels old-fashioned. The combination of lavender and rosemary, in particular, gives Original its typically French character, while mint provides an extra touch of freshness.

The soap is traditionally saponified in a cauldron using plant-based oils and produces a dense, creamy, and highly economical lather with a shaving brush. Just a small amount is enough to build up a sufficient lather for a full shave.
